If you are in the neighborhood of Boise, Idaho on Friday, February 27th, 2009, I strongly encourage you to visit the furniture line debut of Jared Patchin, owner of J. Alexander Fine Woodworking. I’ve been eagerly following the progression of his design and prototype fabrication over at jawoodworking.com, and the finished products look beautiful!
J.A. Woodworking is the fruit of a life-long love investigation by Jared into not only design and practical application, but also technique and technology. One has only to see the pieces of Jared’s new furniture line to realize the care and painstaking perfection he puts into all of his work.
You can preview the furniture here on J.A. Woodworking’s website, and join them from 5pm to 8pm on Friday night for a silent auction of the prototypes. This is an event you will not want to miss! Wine, coffee, appetizers, and dessert will be provided as well.
The bash will be located at 418 Thurman Mill Lane in Garden City, Idaho; co-hosted by the Urban Agent team, whose new website is near launch!
Jared’s original furniture line is described as “thick slabs of solid wood … joined with 3/4 inch polished aluminum rods,” with the goal to create a blend of traditional aesthetics and a sleek, modern look. There are eight pieces in the collection, and pieces can be ordered in any one of ten different wood species, allowing perfect coordination with any interior design.
